HLT35021Certificate III
in Dental Assisting
The qualification consists of 8 core and 2 elective units, in the areas of health and safety, business software and application, communication, infection control, dental procedures, dental radiography and dental administration. The selection of these units of competency and the course structure has been confirmed through industry engagement undertaken by Bant Training.
Overview
The HLT35021 Certificate III in Dental Assisting is an entry level qualification for learners employed in a dental practice as a dental assistant who assist dental practitioners during oral health care procedures and are looking to further their skills and have them recognised formally. To be issued the qualification a learner must be assessed as competent in 10 units of competency.

Be employed in a dental practice to enrol in our delivery model as there are mandatory 350 hours of industry experience to be completed as a requirement in the qualification.
Entry Requirements
The following local entry requirements apply to ensure applicants can fully engage in the course and have the required learning capacity to meeting the course requirements. Learners must:

Have the support of the workplace to complete the requirements of the course and to provide required facilities and equipment

Have suitable language, literacy and numeracy skills to perform workplace tasks such as measuring, weighing and comprehending written work instructions.

Be able to commit to the course attendance requirements.
