The HLT45021 Certificate IV in Dental Assisting is an advanced level qualification for learners employed in a dental practice who provide an advanced level of assistance to dental practitioners which contribute to the quality of oral health care and are looking to further their skills and have them recognised formally. To be issued the qualification HLT45021 Certificate IV in Dental Assisting a learner must be assessed as competent in 8 units of competency.

Able to commit to the course attendance requirements.

Learners must be employed in a dental practice and have the support of the workplace to complete the requirements of the course and to provide required facilities and equipment

Have suitable language, literacy and numeracy skills to perform workplace tasks such as measuring, weighing and comprehending written work instructions.
